Event Narrative

"Another chapter has come to an end for the commander. The commanding general of the air force sends a radio message: "I have conveyed my congratulations and those of the air force to the father of Cavalry Captain Freiherr v. Richthofen on the 100th aerial victory of the two brothers. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Lieutenants Udet and Loewenhardt, who are constantly increasing their number of victories with rapid succession and exemplary drive. 27 March was another proud day for Fighter Wing I."
